New data shows that Google is showing far additional external links in its AI Overviews than before. A jump from near to 0% of AI Overviews containing external links to complete 25% of AI Overviews containing external links.
Malte Landwehr posted on X data from his company, Peec AI, and wrote, "Google massively risen the figure of external links inside AI Overview answers."

This doesn't "feel" correct to me but I think I should portion this data point, since all I do now is portion how Google is small apt to nexus out these days and this shows the opposite.
