Test Google Ads AI Max Against Dynamic Search Ads

Google Ads added new assistance records on how to test AI Max against Dynamic Search Ads (DSAs) by using experiments. Google posted two options inside Google Ads experiments including (1) tradition experiments and (2) the test template.

Google added this to the second division of the about Dynamic Search Ads assistance document and it is named "Testing AI Max against Dynamic Search Ads using experiments."

Google worte, "To measure how AI Max performs against an existing Dynamic Search Ads (DSA) campaign, set up a Google Ads test using one of 2 methods." Here is what Google posted:

Option 1: Custom experiments

• Setup: When configuring your tradition test at the "Make Changes" stage, develop the Dynamic Search Ads settings in your outline run and choose “Upgrade campaign”. This ensures your test run upgrades to AI Max whenever the test launches.
• Applying results: If the AI Max care arm of your test outperforms the authority and you desire to execute the changes, open the completed experiment, choose “Apply Experiment”. From here, you can choose either “Update your first campaign” or “Convert test to a new campaign.” If you choose “Update your first campaign”, afterward this volition alter the first run to AI Max. If you choose “Convert test to a new campaign”, afterward the care arm’s run volition be changed to AI Max and your first run volition be paused. If auto-apply is enabled, winning variations volition upgrade to the basis run automatically.

Option 2: Use an test template

• To use an test template:
  • Go to Experiments in the Campaigns menu.
  • Select Campaigns features and settings.
  • Select AI Max for Search campaigns.
• Eligibility: Campaigns made up entirely of energetic ad groups (100% DSA) can’t use templated experiments.
• Mixed campaigns: If a run contains a blend of energetic and norm ad groups (under 100% dynamic), the experiment's care arm volition upgrade lone the non-DSA ad groups to AI Max. The energetic ad groups volition remain as energetic in the care arm.
