The Google Ads Liaison, Ginny Marvin, afterward explained what the differences are between the two - she stated on X, "Those two sectors map to two distinct places in the UI (and there’s one nuance to be conscious of correct now):"
- “Search conditions equivalent category (Keywords)” (the former field, which we renamed for a bit additional clarity) maps to the “Search conditions equivalent type” segmentation on the Keywords tab.
- “Search conditions equivalent type” is the newly added site that maps to the “Match type” pillar on the Search conditions tab. Note that correct now, you need to have the “Search term” pillar included in your Report Editor study for “Search conditions equivalent type” to come back all equivalent types (like AI Max); the squad is operating on a follow-up fix so it additionally returns all equivalent types whenever used in summary tables without the “Search term” column."
