One of the world's largest funding firms says that lone tech companies are getting a portion of the AI pie.

In an financial inspection published on Saturday, Apollo Global Management stated that during the Magnificent Seven — a collection of established tech companies that includes Nvidia and Meta — are seeing income growth during the AI boom, this growth isn't being shared by another industries.

"Mainstream company America is pulling rear and starting to perspective token spending not as a origin of growth but as a disbursal center that weighs on margins," Torsten Slok, a partner and chief economist at Apollo, stated in the report. "The innovation has delivered zero financial payoff to company America exterior of tech."

In a sequence of graphs, Slok measured three chief metrics that have boomed for tech companies but not for regular companies: income per worker, gain margins, and efficiency growth.

Since 2022, income per employee figures have skyrocketed for tech companies — rising from $550,000 to nearly $800,000 today. Meanwhile, that fig hasn't changed much for everyone alternatively in the S&P 500, lingering about $550,000 for the final seven years.

Similarly, during gain margins soared among tech companies since 2022, they've stagnated at concerning 10% for everyone else.

And throughout the economy, AI hasn't yet dramatically risen efficiency growth as several AI optimists have predicted.

Apollo's investigation portends a dreary shade complete a US economics throwing enormous amounts of batter toward AI tools and companies, whose leaders have promised that an "age of abundance," anywhere group won't have to activity as much, volition shortly be upon us.

"The inquiry looking onward is whether, equal as models rotate into commoditized, mainstream company America can rotate increasingly cheap intellect into higher income growth and higher gain margins," Slok said.

"That may be harder than it sounds," he added.
