Ryan Peterman, the presenter of "The Peterman Pod," stated a bout of sickness nearly dirt his new autonomous occupation as a tech podcaster to a halt. In a six-minute YouTube video posted Friday, the erstwhile Meta engineer stated he was bedridden for multiple days alongside what felt akin a powerful flu.

The sickness exposed a weakness.

"If I stopped, everything stopped," he said. "Because I couldn't work, suddenly, everything felt susceptible for the archetypal time."

Peterman worked at Meta as a application engineer from 2018 until February 2026, according to his LinkedIn. He stated he set apart six months of funds following leaving the business to provision the podcast a genuine shot. Four months in, the display had not made any money. Then he stated he got sick.

He stated there was a bit of a argent lining to the illness: Getting ill made him reassess what was not working. "My occupation decision didn't create awareness on paper," he said, but the goal was not merely to create money. "Otherwise, I would have stayed at Meta."
