Vector Databases Full Course for Beginners – Embeddings, Similarity Search & ChromaDB

Learn how vector databases work, from the math rearward vectors to construction semantic hunt alongside ChromaDB. This beginner way covers vectors, cosine similarity, Euclidean distance, tokenization, and embedding models, afterward walks through a live demo of generating embeddings alongside Google's Gemini embedding model. You volition additionally examine the inner architecture of a vector database, including storage, indexing, and the IVF and HNSW indicator types. By the end, you volition shop embeddings in ChromaDB and run semantic searches that discover matches by definition alternatively of by keyword.
