Bad news if you didn’t fastener successful a Trump telephone astatine launch: It now costs $749, a $250 summation connected its value astatine launch. The T1 Phone itself hasn’t changed.
Trump Mobile didn’t denote the value increase, alternatively softly changing its website overnight. This wasn’t a full astonishment though, particularly fixed the telephone ships pinch an unexpectedly generous 512GB of retention and 12GB of RAM. When I spoke to 2 Trump Mobile executives earlier this twelvemonth they called the $499 motorboat pricing “introductory,” and a fewer months later the website itself was changed to bespeak that, calling it a “promotional price.” That wording is now gone.
When I reviewed the Trump telephone successful July I wasn’t particularly impressed, moreover astatine $499. At $749 location is perfectly nary logic urge it. You could bargain an iPhone 17E aliases Galaxy S26 FE and person $50 near complete to bargain a golden case; $50 much would nett you an older flagship for illustration the iPhone 16 aliases Pixel 10. Any 1 of these phones would rustle the T1 Phone retired of the water.
To my surprise, my Trump telephone has received some support since it launched. There’s been precisely 1 package update, moving it from Android’s February 2026 information spot to the May 2026 version. It’s still moving Android 15 though, which is now 2 years old.
While the Trump telephone officially started shipping successful May, almost a twelvemonth aft it was announced, it remains unclear conscionable really galore customers person received their phones. A report from the BBC past month recovered that astatine slightest immoderate buyers still opportunity their phones ne'er arrived.
