Abstract:This study surveys the scenery of imaginable information threats from malicious uses of AI, and proposes ways to amended forecast, prevent, and mitigate these threats. After analyzing the ways successful which AI whitethorn power the threat scenery successful the digital, physical, and governmental domains, we make 4 high-level recommendations for AI researchers and different stakeholders. We besides propose respective promising areas for further investigation that could grow the portfolio of defenses, aliases make attacks little effective aliases harder to execute. Finally, we discuss, but do not conclusively resolve, the semipermanent equilibrium of attackers and defenders.
