I heard this from Qi Lu; I'm not certain what the origin is. It got me thinking, though--the most prosperous founders do not set out to create companies. They are on a goal to create item nearer to a religion, and at several item it turns out that forming a business is the easiest way to do so.
In general, the big companies don't arrive from pivots, and I think this is most of the logic why.
