If you're having difficulty getting your Spotify playlists up and operating this morning, you're not alone. The music streaming phase is currently downward for tens of thousands of users, at least. Downdetector is showing approximately 40,000 reports since 9:31 a.m. ET, alongside the final lot of reports coming in at 10:24 a.m. Spotify confirmed the matter in a article on X, writing: "We're conscious of several issues correct now and are checking them out!"
Curiously, Spotify's outage comes at the identical period as an outage alongside Claude, the AI phase from Anthropic. Downdetector shows tens of thousands of person reports current as well, and Anthropic confirmed an ongoing matter alongside Claude: "We are examining reports of degraded achievement affecting claude.ai, platform.claude.com, the Claude API, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork. We volition provision an update as shortly as possible."
It's not apparent why these services are downward this morning, or if they are related. But in all likelihood, Spotify and Anthropic volition get their platforms rear up and operating soon. Typically, these occasional outages are resolved in hours, if not minutes, barring a general problem, akin an outage alongside a haze hosting provider. Last year's AWS outage "broke the internet," as did November's Cloudflare outage. There's no logic to think that's the case alongside these outages at this time.
