Pierce Brendan Brosnan is an Irish actor. He achieved worldwide fame playing James Bond in four James Bond films from 1995 to 2002: GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day. Brosnan has also received two Golden Globes nominations for the television series Nancy Astor and the film The Matador. After leaving school at 16, Brosnan trained in commercial illustration before attending the Drama Centre London for three years. Following a stage acting career, he rose to popularity in the television series Remington Steele. After its conclusion, Brosnan appeared in films, including The Fourth Protocol, his break out role was in The Lawnmower Man and Mrs. Doubtfire. Post-Bond, Brosnan toplined other major films including Dante's Peak and the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair and has starred in The Ghost Writer, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, The November Man, Mamma Mia! and its sequel Mamma Mia!
