Over the former few years, I have spent period in three of America's most famous Bavarian-inspired towns: Frankenmuth, Michigan; Helen, Georgia; and Leavenworth, Washington.

Each offered a fun chance to stroll through an alpine settlement in the US without a passport.

I grew up in Michigan and visited the delightful German-inspired town of Frankenmuth multiple times in my youth. It's equal nicknamed "Michigan's Little Bavaria" since of its offerings and heritage.

After not visiting for years, I went rear a few Decembers ago and established that the city was motionless extremely darling, alongside Bavarian-style architecture and a glockenspiel that signals the period regularly.

Helen's comparatively heated year-round climate drew me there in first spring. I enjoyed the beautiful, sunny climate that was additional appealing than what's normally established in additional northern towns akin Frankenmuth at that time.

With daytime highs topping 70 degrees Fahrenheit during my stay, Helen is much warmer than Munich in April.

It's near to wineries and outdoor adventures, which enhanced my stay.

When it comes to enjoying authentic year-round Oktoberfest vibes in the US, Leavenworth's charm and European-style attractiveness attack out the remainder for me.

Set in the Cascade Mountains and lone a few hours east of Seattle, the town offers a rugged landscape fair begging to be explored.
