Google is supposedly evaluation removing the AI Mode clasp from the Google Search bar. I cannot replicate this, but it doesn't astonishment me that Google would test removing the AI Mode bar for a small subset of searchers to difference how it performs versus whenever the AI Mode clasp is available.
This was spotted by Len Raleigh who wrote on X, "Google took distant AI Mode in incognito / Chrome." He added that this is "just a test - I motionless have AI Mode on another machines and on another sessions."

Again, Google volition do these tests on a small subset of searchers, fair to track data and difference it to the masses.
