
A new bug alongside Google Business Profiles and Google Maps is placing several businesses' Google Maps pins in the center of the ocean. This is reportedly happening for several assistance area businesses that do not catalog their location publically on their Google local listings.
Dipa Gandhi archetypal reported the bug and wrote on LinkedIn, "Seems akin there's new GBP bug! For assistance area businesses, Google Maps is showing the accurate assistance area served, however, the overview is showing a PIN marker in the center of the ocean."
She posted several screenshots "showing the difference" of how it should activity versus how it is working. She added, "and it's certainly not a "one-off" situation. Seeing this on many profiles!"
A few others confirmed seeing this bug as fine in the comments on the LinkedIn post.
We saw item akin years ago whenever Google was dropping businesses in the center of America for several reason.
I assume Google volition location this bug? But it is not apparent if Google is equal conscious of it yet.
